Privacy Policy

Chairside is a booking platform for barbershops, operated by Haiway Technologies LLC (“Chairside,” “we,” “us”). This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

We collect three categories of personal data:

• Account information — your name, email, phone number, and (for shop owners) shop name and address.
• Booking activity — the appointments you create, services chosen, and barber preferences. Shop owners also see clients' visit history and total spend at their shop.
• Payment information — credit card details are handled directly by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. We store a Stripe customer reference so subscription billing keeps working.

2. Where the data lives

Customer data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) on infrastructure located in the United States. Payments are processed by Stripe. Transactional email is delivered through Resend. Text messages are sent through Twilio. Each of these services has its own privacy terms; we don't expose your data to them beyond what each one needs to do its job.

3. How we use your data

• Send appointment confirmations and reminders by SMS and email.
• Authenticate you when you sign in.
• Show shop owners which clients booked, completed, or no-showed appointments at their own shop.
• Process subscription payments for shop owners through Stripe.
• Improve the product — aggregate, never personally identifying anyone outside their own shop's view.

We do not sell your data, run ads against it, or share it with third parties for marketing.

4. What shop owners can see

When you book at a shop, that shop's owner and barbers can see your name, phone number (if provided), booking history at their shop, and any notes the barber adds. They cannot see your bookings at any other shop on Chairside.

5. Your choices

• Email and text preferences — owners can disable SMS for their shop in /owner/settings.
• Delete your account — email support@haiwaytechnologies.com and we'll close the account within 7 days. Past bookings remain in the shop's records (we don't want to erase a barber's history of haircuts).
• Export your data — also via the support email above. We'll send a JSON dump of what we have on you.

6. Children

Chairside isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

When we materially change this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and email account holders for significant changes.
